What happens after I win the Green Card Lottery?
The U.S. Government issues 55,000 immigration visas each year to be distributed to individuals participating in the Green Card Lottery. The number of participants always exceeds the amount of Green Cards. On average, 9 million applicants take part in the draw every year. Even though only 55,000 visas are issued, there are always more winners announced.
